For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

This is my first post since April wow so much has happened since then it’s now September everyone can you believe that 2021 will almost be upon us! The year just flew on by it felt since we spend have the year tucked away at home… A lot happened in this year world wide a lot of people lost their lives due to covid-19 unfortunately so many families were left broken not being able to even be with their loved one during those final moments due to this virus, others lost their family members in another way while others may have lost their business their job of so many years, or their home due to a lack in finances etc. All of these circumstances are extremely difficult to face and cope with regardless if you know God or not. They are trying times and if you are a believer in Christ you may find yourself asking Why God? Why did this happen? Why did this occur I am completely destroyed and I can’t handle this intense amount of pain just take it away please… Or maybe you have even found yourself questioning God and you feel like you were going in the correct path, but then suddenly something in life something occurred and you found yourself going backwards instead of forward.. you find yourself going astray. For me that was the case brothers and sisters back in April I shared with you the message that God placed in my heart then about Freedom & saying YES to Jesus In that post I spoke about How we can be in the church, but really not know Jesus, we can be in the Church but Christ isn’t really dwelling in us. We believe our fight is against “People” so we stop going to church this is just a example. I shared in that post how I was reading the book written by Guillermo Maldonado Supernatural Deliverance: Freedom for your Soul, Mind and Emotions I must admit to you I didn’t finish reading that book I read as much to understand to a certain point that my fight wasn’t against people but against demonic principalities. I must admit that it did help me for a short period during that time of lock down but with so much going on during the pandemic I stopped reading this powerful book. I have to pause to include this because it’s important and I realized that now Sunday isn’t enough you must seek God daily or else it’s easy for you to just bounce back to old habits [When you are a believer and you truly decide to follow Jesus & live like him it is extremely important that you connect with God daily whether it be through worship, reading a faith based devotional, prayer, and the best food ever for the soul your Bible the living word of God because it’s the armor we need to fight to continue to fight] because if not it’s so easy for you to go back, to go back to your old ways, that yucky mentality that rotten heart, and if you don’t keep fighting the enemy and his army will begin to attack. When you begin to mature spiritually you begin to realize your fight isn’t your brother or your sister at the Church or another person in the world. Christians can also be demonically influenced if they aren’t seeking God if they aren’t praying if they have worldly addictions it’s easy for the enemy to take hold. When you have to much idle time spiritually speaking your being distracted by your job, even people who aren’t feeding you the word of God it can be a T.V Show or just the entertainment industry, the culture you will start to go astray to those habits those desires. I don’t want to be misunderstood about what I am saying about the unsaved for example the entertainment industry because in the last message post in April I stated that I was in between two different worlds and you can indeed get lost in between them and I stated I just stopped following certain public figures because they were not “Christian” I repented from that mentality because I actually need to pray for them I don’t need to like what they post or agree with it because if it’s not honoring God I can’t agree with it but I don’t want to be that “type of Christian” who believes that certain individuals will contaminate me because I know them or follow them I’m not better than them NO I was lost too and I didn’t know the Lord Jesus too and me as a believer I need to pray for them and ask God to save them the same way people prayed for me. I want to win them for Christ not make them think I’m judgmental I need to look at them with love & know that if that soul doesn’t repent and know the Lord they will spend eternity apart from Him so I ask God now to give me His eyes so that I may love People the way He does It may not be easy but I truly desire to be like Christ because I know what it’s like to fight fire with fire and it’s just disgusting I am disgusted with myself for some of my choices in the past and that’s why before I started to write I apologized to anyone who knows me to forgive me if I offended them because it’s important for me to walk in Peace with those around me you don’t have to like me and that’s completely fine but just know I love you with the love of Christ and pray God continues to bless you Amen.
With all that being said I feel peace inside to share the message God has placed in my heart to share with you all. I titled this message post: The God who transforms… God is a God of purpose and He doesn’t create any human without a purpose. We may or may not know our true purpose in Christ but He does, and He will always.. ALWAYS get his way in a life that He has called to proclaim His good news to lost. God is wonderful… If you don’t know about this wonderful God… Or no one has ever talked to you about Him… stay with me my friend I want to share with you about this mighty God who goes by many beautiful names but one that I can’t help but mention is that He is the GOD OF JACOB. God eventually changed His name to ISRAEL but what I love about God is He isn’t worried about your PAST my friend He wants to use your past for HIS GLORY because you are His Chosen one and He will turn your pain into a message Amen. He is still your God even when you feel disqualified in reality your not but the enemy fills our mind with lies..but God is always on time.
Story Of Jacob Genesis 22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.
23 The Lord said to her,
“Two nations are in your womb,
and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.”
Jacob was a twin and His brother Esau was the oldest he was entitled to a birthright because He was the first born however he didn’t show any interest or care really for the birth right. Genesis 25:32 “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” Jacob knew the great importance of His brother’s birthright and wanted his Blessing Jacob was very insentient even when He was about to come into the world He grabbed His brother’s heel as if trying to be the first to be born but he wasn’t. Genesis 25:26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Jacob asked his brother for His birthright when his brother asked for some food and Esau swore to sell this birthright to his younger brother. The word of God states that Esau despised his birthright Genesis 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright. Jacob didn’t have a good name. Esau’s brother wanted to kill him because he was deceived by him. Jacob ended up fleeing to escape from his brother, as the story unfolds Genesis 32:3 Jacob sent messengers ahead of him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the country of Edom. 4 He instructed them: “This is what you are to say to my lord Esau: ‘Your servant Jacob says, I have been staying with Laban and have remained there till now. 5 I have cattle and donkeys, sheep and goats, male and female servants. Now I am sending this message to my lord, that I may find favor in your eyes..’”
6 When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We went to your brother Esau, and now he is coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.”
His brother was coming to fight him, He had not forgotten about what Jacob did and it’s safe to say Esau really didn’t want to make peace with his brother because he was coming towards him with 400 men. Jacob was afraid and began to pray to God he felt unworthy because of everything that had happened and still God showed kindness to him.
Genesis 32:11 Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their children. 12 But you have said, ‘I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.’”
Jacob prepared gifts for his brother so that when he would arrive he could possibly convince him to not kill him. Instead while Jacob waited He was approached by God himself. God met him right where He was. God meets us where we are in our life. The word of God states that Jacob was left alone. It’s in the moments when your alone that God will meet you where you are and if you humble yourself He will begin to work all you need to do is surrender you don’t need to do anything else. He will work out everything, and you will see His glory in your life trust the process friends.
Genesis 32:24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
Jacob then wrestles with God himself, and He tells him “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” ——- How Beautiful… He wasn’t afraid to ask…Why are we sometimes afraid to ask God for something.?? He can answer even those big prayers.
James 4:2-3 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
God then asks him what is your name..
I love this because he asks him what his name is..
Genesis 32:27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”
Jacob, he answered.
28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”
But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”
Jacob wanted to be Blessed he felt unworthy, his name wasn’t something pleasant his own brother Esau said to his father Isaac… Isn’t he rightly named Jacob… Maybe where you are right now in life when others hear your name they may talk negatively about it, it’s happened to me but God can change you so much that the only thing people will recognize is your name. God will change you & as a result your behavior will change He can heal & restore you from the inside out. All you have to do is ask with your whole heart He can do it! He is doing it for me..He is a God that transforms lives my friends. I strayed away after that April blog post I had lost my direction.. I felt like I was going backwards instead of forward I was so upset issues that I thought I had come to terms with were still haunting me. The enemy set up so many lies and division in my family and I felt completely lost I was struggling to find my way back to God but I kept hearing his voice because when God has a plan and purpose for your life He will be very loud and persistent and the only way you will have peace is to ultimately surrender to His calling over your life I had to come to the end of myself. You have to get to that point if you really truly want to live for Christ to come to the end of yourself my friends it’s the only way there are no short cuts you will never be able to live for Christ if you don’t do what he asks of you. That’s why the apostle Paul who use to be Saul said I no longer live but Christ lives in me. You must submit to Him and do what He asks of you as it’s written in His word. For me that was to ultimately surrender, I had enough of being a carnal Christian being so honest, no more fighting fire with fire, but loving my neighbor as myself, Blessing my enemies, and doing whatever it takes to live for Christ to be like Him Amen. I no longer want to be a carnal Christian or act unloving. I won’t give up until my heart resembles God’s.
God is the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob I highlighted the word Jacob on purpose. God is the God of Israel without a doubt, but when he appeared to Moses he specially mentioned these three names.
I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Exodus 3:6 He mentioned Jacob’s name He wasn’t ashamed of it. He did change Jacob’s name to Israel but the name Jacob still has significance to God. Friend God isn’t ashamed of who we were, He isn’t ashamed to call you by your name. He will change you, and even your same name will have a different meaning. It’s beautiful to see how this story between the two brothers takes a different turn.
33 Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two female servants. 2 He put the female servants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear. 3 He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.
4 But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept. 5 Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. “Who are these with you?” he asked.
Jacob answered, “They are the children God has graciously given your servant.”
6 Then the female servants and their children approached and bowed down. 7 Next, Leah and her children came and bowed down. Last of all came Joseph and Rachel, and they too bowed down.
8 Esau asked, “What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?”
“To find favor in your eyes, my lord,” he said.
9 But Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.”
10 “No, please!” said Jacob. “If I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably. 11 Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.
12 Then Esau said, “Let us be on our way; I’ll accompany you.”
As we see the story completely takes a different turn because Jacob humbled himself before the Lord. Jacob desired so much to be found with favor before the Lord that he fought with Him until he received the blessing from God himself. God blessed Jacob, the Lord crowned him with favor. Jacob repented, he changed, and desired to make amends with his brother. God honors us when we surrender, put our pride aside and walk in Love we then see in the bible verses I shared above that he is reconciled with his brother Esau who receives him with Love and open arms. That’s the power of God, and that same power of God can do miracles in our own life. He can transform us. All you need to do is surrender. I pray in the name of Jesus this message touched you my beautiful reader. The power of God changes I know this to be true because it’s changing me in ways I never imagined & the best is yet to come for me & also for you my friend… God Bless you & remember the God of Jacob loves you! He’s waiting for you with open arms He’s desires a real personal relationship with you. Give your heart to Him & He will change you. Shalom may the peace of God go with you wherever you go Amen.
